Activities Bundle for America's 250th Birthday

Celebrating America's 250th Birthday
Family Activities Bundle, Reflecting, & Dreaming
Many July 4th celebrations are familiar traditions—backyard barbecues, neighborhood parades, sparklers, fireworks, camping, and time spent with family and friends.
This year, USA has something truly special to gather and relish!! America is celebrating 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence—a once in a lifetime milestone.
At Homeschool Buyers Club, our team thought this would be a fun opportunity to celebrate our nation's history and families shaping our future. We're inviting homeschool families to celebrate our future...not just by looking back. But by looking ahead. 🎉

❤️ What Do You Love About America?
Ask kids in your family and adults alike one simple question:
"What is one thing you love about America?"
You might be surprised by the answers.
Some may say:
-
"I love our National Parks."
-
"I love that we can learn at home."
-
"I love helping our neighbors."
-
"I love baseball games."
-
"I love that people invent amazing things."
No right or wrong answers. Imagine you might hear some even funnier responses.
The goal is simply to start a conversation around gratitude, community, freedom, and the many blessings we often take for granted.
Write answers down—you may enjoy reading them again years from now. Or Place them in a time capsule.
Imagine our NEXT 250 Years
Do you think our Founding Fathers ever imagined airplanes, computers, space travel, or the Internet?
I for one love to hear how children imagine the future.
Ask kid's:
-
What do you hope America looks like in 5, 10, 25 years?
-
What problems will people solve?
-
What inventions might exist?
-
How can we help our communities be kinder and stronger?
-
What role will you play?
Every generation helps write the next chapter of history.
Today's children may become tomorrow's teachers, scientists, entrepreneurs, artists, engineers, nurses, missionaries, inventors, and community leaders.
Their dreams and ambitions truly matter.
✍️ Dear America...
Here's a simple family writing activity that can become a treasured keepsake.
Invite each child to write a letter beginning with:
Dear America...
They might answer questions like:
-
What makes America special to you?
-
What are you thankful for?
-
What do you hope our country becomes?
-
What kind of person do you hope to become?
-
How would you like to help make America even better?
Younger children can draw pictures. Older students might write a poem, essay, comic strip, or short story. No perfect answers—only thoughtful ones.
