The Elements series is based on Latin and Greek roots. Through a series of activities students combine these roots with prefixes, suffixes, and sometimes other roots. Vocabulary grows explosively when students are able to apply their knowledge to new words.

In this level, students will study 25 of the most frequently used Latin and Greek roots (125 activities) PLUS prefix/suffix review (20 activities). Varied activities engage students to build, take apart, analyze, and use words in context. It is recommended to start students with Elements Level 1 regardless of age.
